A Closer Look: Davidson College
I was lucky to tour Davidson on an unseasonably frigid day last week, but I was really impressed with this small liberal arts college in North Carolina. It is between 30-40 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The city of Charlotte is close to campus, but it is not really easy to get in to for nightlife.
Type of student who may find Davidson a good potential fit:
someone who wants to have smaller discussion oriented classes
someone who wants to get to know professors
potentially a student athlete who wants to continue to participate in sports at some level in college (DC is a Division I college but has club and IM options)
someone who wants to live on campus for all college years
someone who wants to be part of a small academic family atmosphere
Type of student who may not find Davidson a good potential fit:
someone who wants a work hard AND play hard atmosphere
someone who wants a big rah-rah school
student who wants to be in both large and small classes
student who wants a large student body
a student who wants a dedicated school of engineering
students looking for an easily accessible large city for entertainment
